Lancers Light Up Heat
The Peewee C Heat suffered their first loss in the Stratford Tournament as a strong Lambeth Lancers team took it to them by a score of 8-1. The Heat caught them off guard in the first period coming out strong as a team with several scoring opportunities. Lindsay Merner found the back of the net with an unassisted marker to take a 1-0 lead for the locals, but it was the Lancers who turned it on in the 2nd & 3rd periods scoring 8 unanswered goals for the win. The girls take on this season's arch rival the Lucan Irish this afternoon in their 4th round robin game. Semi finalists will be determined after that.
