Atom BB's Bring Home Gold In London!
The Atom BBs brought home gold at the London Devilette tournament February 2-4!

After a stormy drive, the team barely made puck drop against the Burlington Barricudas.  Although the Heat dominated all three periods, the Barricuda's goalie kept the score down and the final ended in a 1-1 tie with a late goal from Bronwyn.

Their second round robin game saw the Heat take on the North York Storm.  Another strong game by everyone.  Bronwyn scored a hat trick in a 3-0 final!

In the only game on Saturday, the Atoms played the Clarington Flames in a penalty filled game that caused havoc with the time clock.  The Heat burned hotter than the Flames in a 5-0 final.  The goal scorers information was lost in all the excitement....apologies!

After leading our pool in overall points, the Heat received a bye to the semi-finals on Sunday.  An early start to the day saw the Atoms face their league rivals, Saugeen Maitland Lightning.  A very close game saw Ava score 1 and the game ended with an empty net goal by Bronwyn which gave them a 2-0 win and a chance to play in the finals.

The final game matched the Heat with the Detroit Honeybaked.  All the girls played very strong and ended up victorious in a 9-1 final.  Lerissa had 4 goals, Bronwyn scored 3, Marley and Carleigh each scored 1.

3 shutouts throughout the tournament awarded to the stellar play of goalie Kyla!

Excellent sportsmanship, teamwork and skills were showcased throughout the weekend by the Atom BBs!  Congratulations on a well deserved first place finish!  Good luck in playoffs!
