Update
Huron Heat Families:

The Huron Heat has contacted our local Huron Perth Public Health Unit for guidance and advice as to how our organization should proceed based on the recent Covid case in the area.  The HPPH unit has specifically advised the Huron Heat organization that no-one with ties to our organization has been contacted by contact tracers at this point in time and we are free to continue our hockey operations with the safety protocols we already have in place.

We will continue to very closely monitor this changing situation and continue to follow all Covid protocols and safety measures laid out by the OWHA, the local arenas, the Huron Perth Public Health Unit and any extra protocols we deem necessary as an organization.  We will continue to be vigilant in our efforts to ensure the safety of all our players, their families and our local community and will continue to follow the direction of HPPH. We also ask our players and parent to be vigilant in their efforts to ensure you are following all the protocols set in place to help ensure everyone's safety.  In the event that you are notified by the health unit at anytime to quarantine you will need to follow their quarantine guidelines and not attend any Huron Heat events during the time you are either in quarantine or waiting the results of a Covid test.

As always, you are free to make decisions about attending hockey and do what you believe is best for your family and your children.  Please contact your coach if you will not be attending any upcoming practices or games.

For now we will continue with our Segment #2 and we will be ready to make the necessary changes if and/or when it becomes necessary to do so based on expert advice of our local health unit, as safety is our utmost priority.  Please continue to follow all the rules and regulations to keep us all safe.  We commend our hockey community for all their efforts and as an executive we will continue to do our due diligence to our hockey families.

Wishing you all the best during this unprecedented time,
The Huron Heat Executive
