Our first Coach for the 2026/2027 season has been named

Huron Heat is thrilled to announce Mike Jarmuth as the Head Coach of our U15AA team for the 2026–2027 season.

Mike brings an exceptional combination of high-level playing experience and proven coaching leadership. A former NCAA Division I defenceman at Western Michigan University, Mike’s career also included time in the ECHL, AHL, and Italy’s Serie A before returning home to finish his playing years locally.

Since joining the Huron Heat bench staff in 2023, Mike has become an invaluable part of our organization. His loyalty to our program and his belief in our athletes have played a key role in making our new  HEAT High Performance Program possible. His steady leadership and deep investment in player development has set the standard for what we want our AA program to represent.

Mike also brings significant experience from the Huron Perth Lakers AAA program, where he has coached for several seasons. His staff was selected to lead the U15 AAA Prospects Game last year and will coach again at the U16 AAA Prospects Game this season — recognition that speaks to his skill, professionalism, and reputation across the region.

We are incredibly excited to have Mike lead this milestone moment for the Huron Heat and guide our U15AA athletes in our inaugural AA season and launch of our  HEAT High Performance Program.
