2016 WORLD GIRLS' ICE HOCKEY WEEKEND

The Huron Heat wishes to extend an invitation to Huron Heat families and our community to come and celebrate The World Girls' Ice Hockey Weekend.  This will take place on October 8, 2016 starting at 8 am.  It will run all day at the Goderich Memorial Community Centre .  The World Girls' Ice Hockey Weekend is a global initiative for girls to try hockey.  

The day will also showcase Huron Heat hockey teams playing ice hockey games throughout the day.

Starting at 8 am we have an open skate with our fundamentals group and we invite any girl new to hockey to come out and give it a try. Helmet, skates, gloves and a stick are needed.  If you are in need of equipment to use, or have questions, please contact  Ben Driscoll and we will provide you with what you need.  There will be instructors on the ice to help guide the girls through drills and fun games for an hour.

Starting at 9 am. There will be Huron Heat Hockey teams hitting the ice playing games against teams in their respective divisions.

Off the Ice, People will find door prizes, penny sale, and off ice games. There will be a BBQ tent serving Bacon on a Bun, Pillers Ball park Hot dogs, cold drinks and apples.


We invite everyone to come and celebrate the growing sport of female hockey around the world.
