With summer around
the corner Workhorse Strength and Conditioning is excited to offer a new sport
conditioning camp for young athletes looking to further develop their
proficiency in their sport/sports. The focus of this camp will be training
athletic abilities required in every sport including agility, speed,
coordination, balance, speed-endurance, and power.
Athletes of all competitive levels are welcome as workouts will be adapted to be challenging for each individual. The camp will include fitness testing prior to and following the completion of the camp with reports given to each athlete to assess their progress as well as strengths and weaknesses to be addressed in future training. The overall goal of the program is to provide a fun training environment that produces athletic improvements applicable to the athlete’s sport
The program will be designed and delivered by Drew Reinhardt. Drew is a Human Kinetics graduate from the University of Ottawa, with extensive experience and education in courses ranging from Coaching Training Methods, to Exercise Prescription and Fitness Testing, to Fitness Training Principals. Drew is a former Listowel Cyclone Junior B goalie, has spent the last year working with the athletic therapists of the Ottawa Senators, and is in his second year of coaching strength and conditioning classes at Workhorse.
