Womens Hockey University Game coming to Clinton in Sept.
Our association has been offered the opportunity to take part in the following event in cooperation with St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School, we are working together to bring a University Women’s Hockey game to our community. We have arranged to have St. Francis Xavier University "X-Women", play the University of Guelph "Gryphons" Women’s hockey team, Thursday Sept 28, 2017, 7:00 pm at the Central Huron Community Centre in Clinton.
These two teams have finished in the top of their division this past year, The Gryphons, have had winning back-to-back OUA (Ontario University Athletics) titles. St. FX, skating with Huron County’s Becky Higgs, claimed the AUS (Atlantic University Sport) title in 2017. These two teams will play a high level competitive women’s hockey game showcasing women’s hockey and inspiring and exciting our local youth. A meet and greet is planned after the game. The following day is a PA day for students.
