Covid 19 Pause of Games Update
Huron Heat Families:

After careful consideration, we are officially announcing a pause of all hockey games for the Huron Heat organization due to the quickly rising Covid case counts in Ontario. The safety of our Huron Heat players and their families is our top priority, especially as we approach the holiday season.

Starting at midnight tonight, Friday, December 17th, 2021, all Huron Heat hockey games will be paused until 12:01 am. on Monday, January 3rd, 2022. At that time, we will discuss as an executive committee and communicate to the organization what our next steps will be based on the circumstances and all the information available in this quickly evolving situation.

During the period of paused games, teams are permitted to continue to practice during their regular ice times. All safety, distancing and screening protocols will continue to be adhered to by coaches and bench staff for team practices. Parents should make their own decision as to whether their children will participate in practices. Please ensure that you let your player’s coach know if they will not be attending for planning purposes.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together to ensure the safety of all of our players and Huron Heat families. We wish you a happy and healthy holiday. We are hopeful that the new year will bring a return to hockey games. Go Heat Go!
