2026/2027 HURON HEAT TRYOUT REGISTRATION

WELCOME to the 2026/2027 Huron Heat Tryouts! We ask that you please read through all tryout information carefully before attending.
The Huron Heat Female Hockey Association (HHFHA) endorses and promotes the idea that all interested players begin tryouts at the highest level of competition. One of the primary objectives of the HHFHA is to encourage players to compete at the appropriate level of competition to maximize their development both as players and individuals. Meeting this objective will enable the association and its members to put forth competitive teams for all levels of play.
TRYOUT INFORMATION
WHO & WHEN
Tryouts will begin Sunday, April 19th, 2026 for our U9 - U18 players.
Permission to Tryout form A Permission To Tryout (PTT) form is required for all players that played for a female hockey association other than the Huron Heat. Players who have only played on a co-ed team a PTT form is not needed. Please forward completed PTT to [email protected]. The PTT forms can be found Here.
NOTE: All Huron Heat players wishing to try out at another association must also fill out a PTT form and email to [email protected] for signature of approval. Our president, Sara VanDrunen, is the only authorized signatory for these PTT forms.

2026/2027 tryouts will be held in Seaforth. Please refer to the complete tryout schedule here.
COST
Tryout Fees:
AA - $50; 1 skate guaranteed
A-HL - $80; 3 skate guaranteed throughout the process [unless assigned to a T2 or T3 team early]
Assigned straight to HL - $0 *must still complete the RAMP Tryout Registration indicating this so a spot is held.
This year, these payments will be taken by credit card, through RAMP at the time of tryout registration. No cash or cheques on tryout night 1 will be accepted.

Trying out for ...
- AA only, please only select AA tryout package.
- A-HL only [not AA], please select A-HL package.
- AA and will continue with HEAT A-HL if released, please select both AA tryout package & A-HL package. If you are assigned to a AA team, the additional $80 paid for A-HL tryouts will stay on your account and be put toward registration fees.
- *Intent to Register Not trying out but will to play HEAT HL for 2026/2027 select $0 HL package
Goalies
As in previous seasons, Goalies will pay $0 registration fees however are responsible to pay the tryout fee. New this year, we will be holding 2 goalie-only evaluations at the beginning of tryouts. This is to ensure every goalie gets a fair evaluation in addition to their tryouts within their own divisions. These will be held April 20th and 21st 5-6pm in Seaforth and are included in the tryout fee.
Heat High Performance // AA Tryouts:
AA tryouts will begin on April 19. Only players intending to try out for the AA HEAT High Performance team will attend these sessions. For more information on our HEAT High Performance AA Program tryout process and season expectations please review the attached information. We ask all athletes and families signing up for this tryout process to thoroughly understand the financial commitment and expectations prior to the beginning of tryouts.
LEVEL OF PLAY
It is the Huron Heats goal to provide teams at all skill levels. It is anticipated that the HHFHA will provide at least two, potentially up to 4 teams at each age level for the 2026/2027 season! Levels of play will be decided after tryouts when bench staff and the Executive can determine what level fits the team best. Having said that, we anticipate our most competitive season to date with at least 2 AA teams to begin our Heat High Performance Program.
