2024/2025 HURON HEAT TRYOUT REGISTRATION

WELCOME to the 2024/2025 Huron Heat Tryouts! We ask that you please read through all tryout information carefully before attending.
The Huron Heat Female Hockey Association (HHFHA) endorses and promotes the idea that all interested players begin tryouts at the highest level of competition. One of the primary objectives of the HHFHA is to encourage players to compete at the appropriate level of competition to maximize their development both as players and individuals. Meeting this objective will enable the association and its members to put forth competitive teams for all levels of play.
TRYOUT INFORMATION
WHO & WHEN
Tryouts will begin Wednesday, April 17th, 2024 for our U11 - U18 players. U9 Tryouts will be held in September.
Players need to participate in the first skate to be eligible to continue in the tryout process. Players who want to participate in a potential Tier 2 tryout, must be at the first skate for the Tier 1 tryout.
*Players not participating in tryouts but planning to register for Huron Heat (ie. House League), please ensure you have filled out the Intent to Register form. This information is critical to determining team sizes etc.
Permission to Tryout form A Permission To Tryout (PTT) form is required for all players that played for a female hockey association other than the Huron Heat. Players who have only played on a co-ed team a PTT form is not needed. Please forward completed PTT to [email protected]. The PTT forms can be found Here.
NOTE: All Huron Heat players wishing to try out at another association must also fill out a PTT form and email to [email protected] for signature of approval. Our president, Shane Taylor, is the only authorized signatory for these PTT forms.
WHERE
2024/2025 Huron Heat Tier 1 Tryouts will take place in both Goderich and Exeter. Tier 2 tryouts will take place in Exeter and with some teams having to go to St. Mary's as well. Please refer to the complete tryout schedule here.
COST
There is a $80 fee to participate in tryouts. This fee is to pay for the tryout ice times and must be paid when attending the first tryout session in April 2024. This fee does not go towards the 2024/2025 registration fee. Players are guaranteed a minimum two skates for their fees. If there is a Tier 2 Tryout, they will start upon the completion of Tier 1 tryouts.
Payment method: Cheque is the preferred payment method; however, cash will be accepted. NO e-transfers for tryout fees will be accepted.
LEVEL OF PLAY
It is the Huron Heats goal to provide teams at all skill levels. It is anticipated that the HHFHA will provide two or three teams at each age level for the 2024/2025 season! We are intending to register U11, U13 & U15 Tier 1 as A Teams and U18 Tier 1 as BB Teams. Levels of play will be decided after tryouts when bench staff and the Executive can determine what level fits the team best. Having said that, we anticipate our most competitive season to date!

TRYOUT REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
All players must be registered for 2024/2025 Tryouts prior to April 12th, 2024. Please register below.
(Please note, it will only let you choose the 2023-2024 season as the tryouts are considered by OWHA to be part of the 2023-2024 season, but this will register you for April 2024 tryouts.)
