A HEATed Battle of Waterloo!
The Atom BB's took on the Waterloo Ravens at a home and home series this weekend!
On Saturday on home ice in Clinton, the Heat came on strong, scoring quickly in the first and not looking back, leading to a 4-1 victory over the Ravens. Great passing and strong defense attributed to the win. Goals were scored by Bronwyn, Lerissa, Destiny and Mallory!
On Sunday, a second, more physical battle resumed, this time on Waterloo ice. Waterloo came out of the gate with more vigor, but the Heat burned them out. A well played game, with more aggressive play, the Heat pushed back with a strong 3-0 win. Goals were scored by Bronwyn, Dillyn and Mallory! Excellent defensive play by Callie, with some strong skating and good hustle, Ava, who rarely lets anyone by her and Marley protecting our goalie at all costs! Lots of action for goalie Kyla, who made some key saves, giving another shutout!
The Atom BB's have had a great start to their season, with a record of 5 wins, 1 tie and 1 loss. They are looking forward to a well deserved rest this weekend.
