Heat Streak Halted By Inferno
The girls 5 game winning streak in WOGHL Playoff action was ended tonight by the West Oxford Inferno 3-1. It was do or die for the Inferno, win and keep playing or lose and be done for the year. You could tell on the ice as they came out fired up scoring the first goal. The Heat responded in the 2nd and 3rd playing a much better last 2 periods. Hailee Masse tied it up after a nice breakaway pass from Hailee Brown. The score stayed tied until the 4 min mark of the 3rd when West Oxford went up by 1 then scored another into the empty net. The Heat will now play the Inferno in the WOGHL Division Finals. Next action for the girls will be an important OWHA Provincial qualifier game vs St Marys on Wednesday night in Hensall.
