It was a well played game by both teams in Seaforth Tuesday night as the girls battled to a 2-2 tie vs the West Oxford Inferno. The Heat may have had a few more scoring chances, but couldn't connect. West Oxford opened the scoring to go up 1-0 after the first period. The locals responded with 2 in the second on goals by Kailey Hallahan and Lindsay Merner, assisted by Kristen Scott, Ava Overholt and Sami Regier to take a 2-1 after two. The Inferno found the net part way through the 3rd to tie it up at 2 and there would be no more. That means no matter who wins this Saturday in Embro there will be a game 3 next Sunday March 26 at 12:00pm in Seaforth.

With South Huron & Lucknow tying their game earlier, the Heat needed the 2 point win to qualify for Provincials, but fell just short. It was a tough one to take, but the girls should be proud of themselves for their effort and the way they played. They were also very classy in the process. The Rock opened the scoring part way through the 2nd, before the Heat battled back with one minute left in the second to tie it, but couldn't put another one by the Rock tender in the 3rd.  Read More
