Novice HL, 2017-2018 (Huron Heat)

     The girls finished their season Sunday as Group 5 Finalists falling to a very tough North Middlesex team in the finals.         The team had a great year and improved their skills significantly!  Your coaches want to wish you all the best in your future hockey endeavours.  We truly enjoyed working with you and are very proud of your accomplishments this season!  

The girls worked hard as a team yesterday to solidify a spot in their WOGHL group playoff final with a 2-1 win over the Lucan Irish.  Carli Vanden Hengel scored both goals for the Heat, while Hanna Mueller provided some timely saves in net.  The Heat finished their WOGHL playoff round robin with a record of 5 wins and 3 losses.  They will now play the North Middlesex Jr Stars in a 3 game series to determine their group championship.  Let's go Heat!      

     The girls had both a successful and fun tournament at the Flamborough Winter Chill this past weekend, finishing 2-1 in round robin play.  Their only loss in pool play came at the hands of the eventual tournament champs by a score of 1-0 on the Friday evening.  The girls then faced a tough team in the semi-final Saturday night, but unfortunately came up short in a hard-fought, 2-0 loss.  The girls had a lot of fun playing with each other and swimming at the hotel and are now ready to begin their WOGHL playoffs in the next couple of weeks!

     The Novice HL girls finished with a record of 1-1-2 during round robin play at the annual South Huron-Pink On The Rink tournament this past weekend.        

The girls had a great game against Mooretown and then enjoyed some time afterward getting to know each other a little better.
