Heat Top St. Mary's 3-1 In 1st Game Of League Playoffs
The Peewee C Heat continued their strong play downing the St. Mary's Rock 3-1 in their first game of the WOGHL league playoffs. Cayla Hoffman opened up the scoring with a bar down snipe and buried the 2nd on a rebound from Kristen Scott. The 3rd goal was a nice rush by Isabella Hurley after some hard work along the boards by Brooke Kootstra. Other assists went to Erin Mathers with 2, Meg Fritz and Kootstra. It was a positive start by the girls for their league playoffs against St. Mary's, Lambeth HL and West Oxford. Next action is tomorrow night in Zurich vs the South Huron Sabres in game 2 of the Provincial playdowns.
